DU at the Vail Centre, An Unparalleled Learning Opportunity From The University of Denver’s Enrichment Program and OLLI September 11-16

Vail, CO, July 5, 2016. The Vail Centre is proud to announce DU at the Vail Centre an unparalleled learning opportunity from the University of Denver’s Enrichment Program and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). This experience will be offered from September 11-16 in the beautiful mountains of Vail, Colorado. Attendees can choose from 14 extraordinary classes taught by world-renowned statesmen and recognized University of Denver faculty. Topics include music, poetry, history, urban planning, brain studies, the 2016 election, aging society, foreign policy and the human experience.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain insight into the Middle East with former U.S. Ambassador Gary Grappo
  • Explore the workings of the brain with acclaimed Neuropsychologist, Kim Gorgens
  • Discuss public policy with former Colorado Governor, Richard Lamm
  • Write poetry with Colorado Poet Laureate, Joseph Hutchison
  • And more…

Each day attendees have the option of starting with light mind and body exercise referred to as Mornings in Motion, followed by breakfast to prepare participants for an invigorating day of thoughtful exploration. The program also includes a day at the breathtaking Cordillera Club where participants can indulge their interests in golfing, fly fishing, a day at the spa, hiking with a camera or horseback riding. Mountain receptions will extend the classroom discussions and provide access to the professors and encourage networking with attendees.

Vonnie Wheeler, director of the University of Denver’s OLLI Programs noted, “Waking up everyday in the spectacular setting of Vail, Colorado and spending a week with DU’s top faculty will surely be a unique and inspirational experience for learning.
